Bayern Munich 'would consider Robert Lewandowski sale if they find replacement'
Bayern Munich will reportedly consider selling Robert Lewandowski this summer if they can find a replacement for the legendary forward. At the weekend, the legendary forward confirmed that he would not be signing a new contract at the Allianz Arena, his desire to take on a new challenge elsewhere.
Despite Lewandowski's recent comments, Bayern officials have consistently stated that the 33-year-old would not be allowed to leave ahead of 2022-23. However, according to Sport1, their stance may change if they are able to find a suitable replacement for a player who has scored 344 goals in eight seasons.
Although they stand to make a significant sum should they part ways with their key player, the report hints that Bayern are prepared to lose Lewandowski on a free transfer in 2023 if they are not successful in securing an alternative. Barcelona are said to be waiting in the wings, the Catalan giants allegedly having to have a three-year contract on the table if a fee can be agreed with Bayern.
